Guided Mule Deer Hunts in New Mexico
We specialize in hunting mule deer in the southern half of the state. New Mexico is known for trophy mule deer in the northern half of the state, but because of that, a lot of people look past the southern half with which means better draw odds and less pressure. We have guided multiple B&C bucks in our desert units.
Rifle Mule Deer Hunts
A typical mule deer hunt will be spot and stalk, and hunters can expect to hunt deer from 150" to 170". Our rifle season is the first 2 weeks in November and is a bachelor buck hunt with no rut activity. Shots range from 200 to 500 yards.
Archery Mule Deer Hunts
Archery season for deer is in September and can overlap with our archery elk hunts, which is a unique opportunity to double up on a big bull and buck. These early season archery hunts are for velvet bucks, but we also offer mule deer rut hunts from January 1 to 15. Both hunts involve glassing, spotting, and stalking bucks.
Shot distances range from 20 to 90+ yards. This is a fun hunt that can produce hunting opportunities for a 150" to 160"+ type of buck.

It is on 140 acres with incredible views of the range where we routinely harvest elk and mule deer from. We will use this lodge for our hunts in Units 13, 17, and 18. If we hunt in other units, we use a variety of other accommodations.
All you need to bring is your personal gear, rifle, ammunition, bow, and arrows. A short list of recommended gear will be provided upon booking.
Wounded Game Policy
In the event a big game animal is wounded, your hunt is over until the animal is found. Animals that are wounded and get away are considered yours. The outfitter and guides will expend maximum effort in an attempt to recover your animal.
