Guided Black Bear & Mountain Lion Hunts in New Mexico
Because of the vast territories that mountain lions and bears cover, we use hounds to hunt them and are not confined to one area. Our houndsmen are experts in their craft and train their hounds to the highest levels. Multiple transportation modalities can be used during this hunt, including walking on foot, riding mules, vehicles, etc. The licenses can be purchased online and need to be activated 48 hours before your planned hunting dates. Mountain lion licenses are year-round tags from April 1-March 31 the following year, and you may harvest two mountain lions with your license. Bear licenses are over-the-counter and harvest goals are met by a quota system. If you are planning to hunt bears, the season starts September 25 and goes until the unit quota is reached, so it is crucial that you come towards the start of the season as it may close as we get further into it.

Wounded Game Policy
In the event that a big game animal is wounded, your hunt is over until the animal is found. Animals that are wounded and get away are considered yours. The outfitter and guides will expend maximum effort in an attempt to recover your animal.
